In the framework of our innovative interdisciplinary research project “Coloured Maps” we are organizing a workshop with a cross-cultural approach to discuss the material nature and meaning of colours on maps.
In the workshop we will discuss maps and colours, methods and discourses, dyes and analytical approaches. We will focus on European and Asian maps between the 15th and 19th centuries. More detailed information will follow in a CFP in January 2020.
