ISHMap is pleased to open registration for the V Symposium of the International Society for the History of the Map with the theme of “Breaking Boundaries.” Originally scheduled to take place in São Paulo, Brazil, as our first Symposium in South America, our event is now breaking a different kind of boundary.

With the collaboration of our participants, the ISHmap 2020 Symposium has transitioned to the virtual realm and will take place Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June, 13, 10:30-4:00 pm (EST) via Zoom.

Join Keynote Speaker Beatriz Jaguaribe and two dozen international map scholars, curators, makers and lovers, for live presentations, coffee breaks, and book presentations.

ISHMap will also hold its General Meeting for Society members on Saturday, June 13.

Not an ISHMap member yet? Consider joining the Society! Benefits can include a discounted annual subscription to Imago Mundi.

Interested in attending? Registration is free and open to the public. Only registered participants and attendees will receive a password-protected link to the Symposium.  The link will be emailed 72 hours prior to the event to those registered by June 4, 2020.
